Viruses and spyware are out there and seeking your machine and it's precious contents!  Don't let your PC be vulnerable to malware!

How to avoid it?  Here's are some tips from West Coast Custom Computers...

• Never click on a link in an e-mail.
• Type all Internet addresses into a Google search, rather than into your browser's address bar.
• Beware social networking sites!  These are rife with malware.  Never respond to an e-mail through these sites.  Never download from social networking sites.
• Use BOTH anti-virus and anti-spyware software.  Surprisingly, the best antivirus software are available for free.  We recommend AVG and Kapinsky.  Download them for free.
  

Here's the most important tip:  KEEP YOUR SOFTWARE UPGRADED and UPDATED.

• Old OS's like Windows 98 are no longer supported and are therefore guaranteed virus magnets.
• Use Windows updates and Office updates regularly.
